Dr. Andrew Watkins, Sr., Ph.D.

Dr. Andrew Watkins, Christian University of Southern Indiana's Chancellor, is Chairman of the Board for Christian Educational Services of Higher Learning (a university system for post-secondary schools), the president of New Directions Theological Institute, and the lead professor at Christian University of Southern Indiana.  He serves as the Chairman of the Board of Regents for both Christian University of Southern Indiana and New Directions Theological Institute.  He is the founder and former pastor of New Directions Christian Fellowship Ministries of Houston, Texas and currently serves as the Presiding Prelate of the I Am Saved Now Fellowship (IASNF) of Christian Churches and Ministries, International.  Formerly, he served as the Chairman of the Board of Regents for Christian Bible Institue and Seminary as well as serving as the former president of Trinity Theological Seminary.  He has received his Ph.D. in Theological Studies, with a concentration in Behavioral Counseling from United Theological Seminary and has earned a D.C.C. in Christian Counseling along with a Master's in Christian Entrepreneurship, both from Christian Bible Institute & Seminary.  He received his Bachelor of Science degree in Human Resource Management from Barrington University (now the University of Atlanta) and holds an Associate's degree in Paralegal Studies from Brighton College.  He is a former Associate Member of the San Francisco Bar Association and the American Bar Association. 

 

Dr. Watkins is credentialed as a Board Certified Licensed Biblical Therapist (LIC# WA1122014) and as a Board-Certified Faith Based Clinical Counselor, a graduate from the International Institute of Faith Based Counseling.  He is also a graduate of the Anger Management Institute of CounselCare Connection.  He has earned credentials as a Certified Biblical Counselor and Certified Professional Chaplain from Christian Bible Institute and Seminary.  He has earned credentials from Clergy University as a Certified Pastoral Manager and a Certified Behavioral Analyst.  Dr. Watkins is a credentialed member of the National Anger Management Association as an Anger Management Specialist II and an Anger Management Trainer Specialist II.  Dr. Watkins is the recipient of an Honorary Doctor of Divinity from Christian Bible Institute and Seminary.  He is a teacher, entrepreneur, pastoral coach, and published author of the book, Clearing Your Pathway to Effective Communication in Ministry, at Work, and at Home, and he is the creator of the UMSC 2006 Guide.

 

Dr. Watkins has a great passion for teaching and an anointing for leading others.
