The semester hours required to earn our certificates, degrees, and diplomas, may be earned through a combination of studies offered through CUSI and the credit we allow for your religious training and religious life-work experience.

All Students must be Bible-believing Christians who have demonstrated a personal relationship with Jesus Christ.  Undergraduate candidates must have a high school diploma or a GED.  Applicants entering into our Master's program are required to have a 4-year Bachelor's degree or an equivalent with a GPA of 2.5 or better.  Doctoral candidates must have a M.A. or its equivalent with a GPA of 3.0 or better.

Policy Statement

Course Load Requirements:

Workload expectations in this policy are an estimate of the amount of work needed for an average student to earn an average grade.  Course grades are based on the quality of the work submitted, not on hours of effort.  Workload expectations per credit do not vary with the  method of delivery of the course or the length of the academic term.

The minimum, full-time load for undergraduate student is 12 credits.  The minimum, full-time load for a six-week summer term is 6 credits.  It is 12 credits for a twelve-week summer term.  Certificate Study students are limited to 3 credit hours per term.

If a student is enrolled in a three-unit class, they can expect six to nine hours of homework per week.  For a two-unit class, the workload will be between four to six hours per week. Total time required to complete coursework varies from one individual student to another.  However, the average time commitment needed for study for a three-credit hour class would be 18 hours per week, including online time if required.

Regular submission of work is required.  Some courses require students to meet frequent deadlines (such as weekly due dates).
