First Lady, Dr. Dorceia J. Watkins, Ph.D.

First Lady, Dr. Dorceia J. Watkins, Ph.D., DSM, is filled with the joy of the Lord and exceedingly honored to walk in the anointing that God has placed on her life.  She truly loves the Lord with all of her heart, soul, strength and mind.  She is a woman of God who seeks to do the will of God at every opportunity, every day of her life.  She is a help meet to Bishop Watkins and has been at his side for over 17 years of marriage, ministry, parenting and partnership. 

 

Dr. Watkins is a worshiper, a prayer warrior, a wife, mother, writer, researcher, assistant professor, and administrator.  She was saved at a very early age, raised by God-fearing, Gospel-preaching,  teaching, anointed, educated, consecrated parents who worked in ministry for over 35 years in the African Methodist Episcopal Church.  She is educated, trained, and prepared to do the ministry and spiritual gift of helps in order to build up God's kingdom.  She is constantly striving as a student of God's Word and makes every effort to apply it to her life.

 

Lady Dorceia is the recipient of an Honorary Doctorate Degree in Sacred Music from Christian University of Southern Indiana.  She has earned a Ph.D. degree in Christian Education and an MBA in Organizational Development, focusing in Operations & Marketing from Christian University of Southern Indiana.  She received academic training in Sociology, focusing on Family Counseling at Morris Brown College in Atanta, GA where she sang in the College Concert Choir.  Dr. Watkins has had the opportunity to lead worship in many venues, conferences, and worship services.  She earned a Bachelor's degree in Worship Ministry from the Christian Bible Institute & Seminary in Houston, TX. 

 

She has performed on many stages and venues in America and abroad as a featured soloist, background vocalist, choir director, and choir member.  Most notably, she has worked with Babbie mason; the First Presbyterian Church of Portland, Oregon's Tour:  From North to South in the Americas to London, England and Athens, Greece; the AME Church's Northern California Conference Youth Choir Director; the Morris Brown College Concert Choir; and has had the opportunity to perform with many other groups and at various Christian events from Women's Conferences to great evangelical worship services.  

 

Currently, Lady Dorceia serves on the Board of Regents and as an Associate Professor at Christian University of Southern Indiana, serves as a Board Advisor for New Directions Theological Institute, and she serves the TCCF Fellowship as Supervisor and administrator. She has served as the Director of Christian Education, the Superintendent of Sunday School, and Worship Leader in her local church.  She has, formerly, served as the Stockton Chapter-Women of Purpose Secretary.  Most paramount, Dr. Watkins serves her children as their Learning Coach through the California Connections Academy @ Ripon.  Formerly, she served them in the same capacity through the California Virtual Academy and also as  a Home-school Supervisor through Lighthouse Christian Academy.  She works as a ghost-writer, SEO writer, and website developer.  She has also served as editor over all of TCCF's e-magazines, including our featured publication, "SAVED!".  Subscribe and see some of her writings on her blog called Righteous Living at https://avirtuouswog.wordpress.com.
