Adjunct Professor

Dr. Loyce A. McCullough, D.D.

Dr. Loyce A. McCullough is the Department Chair of Academic Development and also serves as an Adjunct Professor for Christian University of Southern Indiana.  She earned her Masters Degree in Education from the University of Washington in Seattle after she completed her Bachelor of Arts degree in Theology/Philosophy from Philander Smith College in Little Rock, Arkansas.    She is the former Director of Christian Education for both St. John African Methodist Episcopal (AME) Church in Omaha, Nebraska and Bethel AME Church in Portland, Oregon.  Dr. McCullough is a Suffragan Bishop and is currently a member of the I Am Saved Now (IASNF) Fellowship of Christian Churches & Ministries, International Bishop's Council.  She is also a member of the Advisory Board for New Directions Theological Institue while serving as their Christian Counseling Instructor.

 

Dr. Loyce A. McCullough is the senior pastor and co-founder of New Directions Christian Fellowship Church in Stockton, California where she succeeds her late husband, Dr. Dorsey W. McCullough.  She is a published author of the book, An Extraordinary Journey with Jesus.  She is a former professor at Multnomah Bible College in Portland, Oregon and has worked in a number of public school systems as an elementary school teacher.  In Portland, Oregon, she implemented a satellite, alternative school: McCoy Academy Middle School at Bethel AME Church and served as the Program Director.  She has tutored and inspired many children towards academic success and has been influential in the spiritual lives of people of all ages.  Dr. McCullough has served as a teacher, preacher, and presenter of the Gospel in Christian Education and academia for over fifty years.  She is a recipient of the Honorary Doctorate of Divinity Degree from this university.

 

Dr. McCullough is a widow, having been married to Dr. Dorsey W. McCullough for over 45 years.  They are the parents of 6 children, 25 grandchildren, and 3 great-grandchildren.
