Dr. Dorceia J. Watkins is a member of the Board of Regents and holds a position as a Department Chair over the Learning Coach Development Department.  She serves as an Associate Professor for the university and she is the creator and developer of the Writing Lab of CUSI-2015.  She has worked extensively as a ghost-writer, SEO writer, and website developer for various enterprises.  She is a Learning Coach for K12 California Virtual Academy-San Joaquin County and she serves on the Advisory Board for New Directions Theological Institute.  Dr. Watkins currently serves as the Supervisor, administrator, and president of the Woman of God Ministries for the I Am Saved Now (IASNF) of Christian Churches and Ministries, International.

 

Dr. Watkins started her college matriculation at Morris Brown College in Atlanta, Georgia (studying Sociology, concentrating in Family Counseling) and completed her studies at Christian Bible Institute and Seminary in Houston, Texas, receiving a bachelor's degree in Worship Ministry. She is currently enrolled in the Dual Degree program, working on her residency and as a Graduate Assistant, which will earn her a Master of Arts degree and a Doctorate degree in Christian Education from Christian University of Southern Indiana.  

 

Dr. Watkins is a gospel vocalist, focusing on worship music.  She began singing at an early age and has gone on to sing in the Morris Brown College Concert Choir for three years, eventually leading praise and worship services in many venues, churches, and conferences.  Dr. Watkins is a pledged member of Delta Omicron International Professional Music Fraternity.  She has performed on stages across America and abroad as a featured soloist, background vocalist, choir director, and choir member.  Most notably, she has worked with Dove award-winning gospel artist, Babbie Mason; the First Presbyterian Church of Portland, Oregon's Tour:  North to South in the Americas, traveling to London, England and various cities in Greece; and she has served as the African Methodist Episcopal Church's Northern California Conference Youth Choir Director, complete with putting together a full band along with 80+ choir members.  She currently serves as the Worship Leader and Sunday School Superintendant at New Directions Christian Fellowship Church in Stockton, California and she is a recipient of the Honorary Doctorate of Sacred Music from Christian University of Southern Indiana.

 

Dr. Watkins is a life-time student of God's Word.  She is the wife of Dr. Andrew Watkins and serves as his Helper and partner in life and ministry.
